3rd Period - 8:42•1997-1998 Regular Season

Slaney hit Messier near center ice and Linden went right after him. Linden dropped his gloves, and Slaney went into the turtle. Linden threw a few punches, no damage done. Petit came in to try and help out Slaney and Babych grabbed Petit and threw off his gloves. He threw a few rights at Petit then they both held on until the linesmen broke them up. Other Penalties: Each player received a game misconduct.
