Red Wings Continue to Lead NHL in Fights

It’s not a headline we expect to write around here. It’s early in the season, but still surprising to use.

There are 12 teams without a fighting major (FM). We’d expect the Detroit Red Wings to be one of them. Instead, they’re on top of the FM leaderboard with five so far. The team that only had eight all of last season, had five in the preseason, and has now matched that five games into the regular season.
