Phoenix Coyotes Fouth Line Contributing More Than Hits
Phoenix Coyotes’ fourth-liners provide plenty of value
Well, ask Coyotes coach Dave Tippett about the play of his fourth line lately and he will tell you that the combination of Jeff Halpern and Kyle Chipchura, along with Bissonnette, has been about as steady as it gets.
The three skaters had as much to do with Tuesday night’s pivotal 3-0 win over the rival Los Angeles Kings as anyone, including goalie Thomas Greiss, who will get another start Thursday night against the visiting Buffalo Sabres.
“You know what, it’s been very strong and it’s been for about the last six, seven games,” Tippett said of his fourth liners. “We’ve rotated a guy in and out and Bissonnette, he’s been in and out a little, but the two constants have been Halpern and Chipchura. They’ve really got a good chemistry going together.
“And (Tuesday) night, Bissonnette jumped and played a really strong game. … They’re just good role players that give you everything they’ve got every night and when they play with energy like (against the Kings), it’s a real positive for our team.”
