NHL enforcer McSorley all smiles

On Saturday, McSorley was in the Swan City at Ernie’s Sports Experts signing autographs for their Hockey Expo. Before meeting with hockey fans, McSorley had a chance to briefly meet with the media.

“This is my first time in Grande Prairie and playing with the Oilers, there was always people coming in for the games and I’d run into people and I’d ask them where they’re from and I grew up on a farm. I grew up in a small town in southern Ontario – 10 kids the family, nine brothers and sisters – so for me I really enjoyed it,” McSorley said.

“I played junior B, I played in the OHL (Ontario Hockey League), so I get a chance to go into a lot of the rinks and I still do now with alumni games and different events I go to, so I really enjoy going into the towns and getting a chance to see everybody and I meet everybody in the best of their days. Everybody’s in good moods and its fun for me. I enjoy it.”
