NHL 2013-14 Preseason Underway

With a trio of games last night the NHL kicked off the first preseason we've seen in two years.

All three games were up north. The Washington Capitals met the Winnipeg Jets in Belleville; and the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames split squads and played two games, one in each city.

Despite the double-rivalry, the only fight of the Alberta games — and of the night — was Travis Ewanyk versus Blair Jones. Both are products of the WHL, but with seven years between them, this was the first time the two have met on the ice.
