Luke Gazdic and Milan Lucic Slug It Out

With the Boston Bruins up 3-1, Edmonton Oilers rookie Luke Gazdic threw a hit on Milan Lucic and then picked a fight with the Bruins powerfoward.

It was heavyweight battle with big punches thrown. Gazdic landed a bomb on Lucic, who didn’t go down, but it was a fairly even tilt overall.

The fight was Gazdic’s league-leading ninth major (currently tied with Derek Dorsett and Tom Sestito), and Lucic’s third of the season.

Gazdic told The Edmonton Sun, “I thought we needed a little bit of a spark and there wasn’t a better guy to go with. I thought the team needed that and I thought it helped.”
