Kurtis Gabriel and Vince Dunn Finish it in the Tunnel

Typically, your run-of-the-mill hockey fight sets out to police the game on the ice, to ensure that bad blood doesn’t spill over off of it. That wasn’t the case in American Hockey League action on Saturday night, when a late-game brawl between the Iowa Wild and Chicago Wolves spilled over into the tunnels.

Interestingly, this game wasn’t particularly out-of-the ordinary until the dying minutes of the third period. The two teams combined for eight penalties in the first 56 minutes, but all of the infractions were standard affair. But, with 3:51 remaining, Kurtis Gabriel responded to a hit from Vince Dunn with a high cross check, and all hell broke loose.
