Jordin Tootoo Fights Robert Bortuzzo Twice in Devils Win

On December 2nd Robert Bortuzzo crushed Jaromir Jagr into the boards, knocking him out of the game. When the Pittsburgh Penguins and New Jersey Devils met again last night, Jordin Tootoo wasn’t going let an opportunity to pass to remind Bortuzzo the Devils didn’t care much about the two-game suspension Bortuzzo received.

Tootoo didn’t give Bortuzzo much of an option but to drop the gloves and fight in the second period — twice. Tootoo, giving up about seven inches, pulled Bortuzzo in-close each time. The first bout was a lot of grappling. The second Tootoo landed some clear shots.

The Devils credited Tootoo for giving them the push to win.
