Joe Vitale vs Brent Sutter, Oct 28, 2013

Less than three minutes into last Monday's Pittsburgh–Carolina game, the Hurricanes' Brent Sutter shoved Craig Adams from behind into the boards. Adams got up immediately, unfazed by the hit, but Penguins grinder Joe Vitale responded to the deed appropriately. Both players mutually shed the mitts and wasted little time jockeying for position. Sutter threw, and landed, the first two punches of the fight. Vitale came back with a flurry of right hands before Sutter found his bearings and cascaded rights of his own. Neither player showed much in the way of defense in a very even fight matchup in terms of size and ability. Our voting page for the fight currently scores this dust-up a draw.

Sutter also received a minor penalty for boarding, and Vitale two minutes for roughing. It is the second Pens-'Canes fight to be featured as our Fight of the Week this season.
