Isles Continue Rough Rookie Parade
The New York Islanders–Buffalo Sabres game didn’t mean all that much on the last day of the regular season. The Isles lottery draft position, and eventually the option to hand over the first-round draft pick to the Sabres, was the only long-term consequence this game had. The Brooklyn-bound Islanders continued to dress a lot of players from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, their AHL affiliate.
Earlier in the week Brett Gallant drew a lot of attention after knocking down Matt Kassian. Now, it was Justin Johnson’s turn.
