Dropping the Gloves – Scott’s Thoughts: Jujhar Khaira vs Brett Ritchie

Welcome back to the third instalment of Scott’s Thoughts! John Scott took a look at last night’s fight from the Battle of Alberta, which resulted in Jujhar Khaira being knocked out by Calgary Flames forward Brett Ritchie.

The fight came as a result of a hit that Khaira landed on defenceman Oliver Kylington. The Oilers forward caught Kylington in a vulnerable position in front of the Flames bench. Calgary, of course, took exception to the hit and dealt with it on the ice.

In case you missed it, Episode 217 of Dropping the Gloves was released on Monday. John and Tim were joined by San Jose Sharks forward Kurtis Gabriel. The interview came due to John’s comments on last weeks podcast about what Gabriel had to say following the Sharks game against the St Louis Blue.

Comments from both sides were addressed on the show. They also discussed Gabriel’s path to the NHL and how he’s not going to allow this opportunity to slip away.
