Dropping The Gloves Episode 270: An interview with Rasmus Ristolainen

Welcome back to another episode of Dropping The Gloves podcast with John Scott and Tim Wirzburger. Tim and John were joined by one of John’s former teammates on today’s show: Rasmus Ristolainen.

Ristolainen and John played together during the Finnish defenceman’s rookie season in the NHL. He spent eight years in Buffalo before recently being moved to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for Robert Hagg, a 2021 first-round pick (Isak Rosen) and a 2023 second-round pick.

Ristolainen spoke about his time in Buffalo and how they helped him become the player he is today. He also expressed how excited he is to join the Flyers organization. He spoke about what kind of player Flyer fans should expect come the fall, and oh boy, did he sound confident.

The Finnish defenceman is just another piece to what has already been a very busy offseason for the Flyers.
