Dropping The Gloves Episode 264: Offseason Primer: Dates, Free Agents, and Trade Rumors

Welcome back to another week of the Dropping The Gloves podcast with John Scott and his co-host team! With the NHL season now over, John and Tim switched their focus over to the offseason.

Another big name now a part of trade rumours is St Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko. It’s been reported that Tarasenko wants out of St Louis after the way they treated his shoulder injury. The Russians points have dropped over the last couple of seasons, but he’s still regarded as a top player around the league. The big question mark surrounding this is where he could land? One name John through into the mic was the Edmonton Oilers. Do you think that would be a good spot for him, and if not, where would you like to see him go?

It was also reported late last week that the Philadelphia Flyers would not protect Jakub Voracek in the expansion draft. If the Kraken does not take him, the two parties will continue to find a new home for Voracek. John and Tim agreed that it’d be challenging for the Flyers to move him, and if they can, then the salary will need to be retained.

Also, on the show, they talk about Jack Eichel, Seth Jones and Steven Stamkos possibly leaving Tampa Bay.
