Dropping The Gloves Episode 251: The Not So Big Bad Bruins

Another team’s season came to an end the other night. After a hard-fought battle on Long Island, Tim’s Boston Bruins fell to the New York Islanders 4-2 in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Of course, Tim needed to release some emotion as all passionate hockey fans do. For the 15 minutes of the show, John and Tim took a deep dive into the Bruins and what went wrong in the series. One deciding factor they both agreed upon was the absence of Brandon Carlo from what was already a thin blueline. With that, it was also determined that without Charlie McAvoy, this series could’ve turned out a lot worse for the Bees.

They also discussed quickly some offseason decision that’ll need to be made. Tim did a quick yes or no segment on who could be back and who would be walking. Tweet at us and let us know what you think Boston should do over the summer.

On the other side, the New York Islanders are now moving onto the final four for the second straight season. As we all know by now, John is a big believer in the Islanders. He spoke about how massive coaching will be in this series and believes New York have the end.

They then closed out the show with a little predictions segment for the second round and briefly on Mark Scheifele’s comments.
