Dropping The Gloves Episode 247: The Toronto Maple Leafs Have Done it Again

Well, Leafs Nation, it happened again.

After holding a dominant 3-1 series lead over the Montreal, somehow, the Canadiens were able to claw their way back into this series and win it in seven. It’s something that very few people expected to happen, but once again, Lord Stanley proved why he is the hardest to win.

Of course, yesterday’s loss was the number one talking point on Dropping The Gloves today and around the world.

John and Tim took a deep dive into the series between these two original six teams and the Maple Leafs lineup. The biggest question now is, what does Kyle Dubas do? The guys discussed this on the show. John suggested one name that should possibly be moved, and his name is Mitch Marner.

Following the chat about that series, they spoke about the Ryan Reaves incident on Sunday night. Reaves was suspended for two games by the league, and John disagrees with that decision, especially after the punishment they handed out to Tom Wilson.

They also went on to talk about the Seth Jones situation in Columbus and the other remaining second-round series.

Episode 247 of Dropping The Gloves is now available on any of your podcast providers.
