Dropping The Gloves Episode 235: The Race for 100 Points: Can McDavid Do It?
Episode 235 of Dropping The Gloves with John Scott dropped early this morning.
The show kicks off with a little Boston Bruins talk. The news broke yesterday morning that Bruins forward Jake Debrusk would be a scratch for their game against the Penguins that night. Boston’s head coach, Bruce Cassidy, had some real words to say about Debrusk and said they needed more commitment out of him. It is now the second time Debrusk has been a healthy scratch this season. John and Tim talked about what he can bring to the Bruins and what the future could hold for the Edmonton native.
Speaking of Edmonton, a couple of Oilers forwards are making headline once again, and this time it’s not due to Connor McDavid being the new goon in the NHL. With ten games to play, McDavid is 19 points away from finishing with 100 points on the season. Now the question is, can he do it?
The other star on the Oilers, Leon Draisaitl, hit a major milestone on Monday night. He becomes the highest-scoring German in NHL history. A big congratulations to him from all of us here at Hockey Fights!
