Dropping The Gloves Episode 231: The NHL is Making a Huge Mistake

Dropping The Gloves is back!

After enjoying a brief weekend away, John and Tim got back behind the mics to fill you in on all the news around the National Hockey League.

The shows start with a recap of a couple of the major trades from the trade deadline. The Anthony Mantha and Jakub Vrana deal is where we’d begin. Mantha has got off to a great start with the Capitals with four goals, while Vrana is also doing a good job in Detroit with a goal in two games.

They continued to break down the Boston Bruins busy trade deadline and how they’ve been handling things.

Patrick Marleau recently broke a record that many thought might never be touched. He based the great Bobby Orr for the most games played in the NHL. John and Tim spoke about that and if now Marleau’s record will ever be touched.

And finally, the main topic of discussion this week was the return of the Vancouver Canucks. The guys went deep into this one bringing up JT Miller’s comments, the Canucks feelings towards upper management, and their thoughts on Vancouver’s return.
