Dropping The Gloves Episode 227: Islanders Get Palmieri/Zajac: What Does this Mean for the Rest of the League?
Well, it looks like John was right after.
Kyle Palmieri is now a member of the New York Islanders after acquiring him and Travis Zajac from the New Jersey Devils. In return, the Devils got forward A.J. Greer, forward, Mason Jobst, a 2021 1st RD pick (NYI) and a conditional 2022 4th RD pick (NYI).
In episode 226, John predicted that Palmieri is a Lou Lamoriello guy.

John and Tim discussed the trade in detail on the show and talked about how this affects the rest of the league. Along with that, they discuss how this makes the New York Islanders a legitimate contender in the Eastern Conference.
With one big piece gone from the trading block in Palmieri, what does this now mean with Taylor Hall? John seems to believe that he could be on his way back to Canada with even a possible return to Edmonton, not out of the question.
Another topic was who a few of the potential sellers could be around the NHL. John believes Boston should move a couple of pieces, but Tim reports that St Louis might be the team that sells.
The podcast ends with some Boston Bruins talk with Tim’s inner fan showing. They have a mini back and forth about who has a better chance of winning the cup between the Bruins and the other contenders.
