Dropping The Gloves Episode 222: An Interview with Kirby Dach

John and Tim are joined by Chicago Blackhawks star forward Kirby Dach on episode 222 of Dropping The Gloves.

The conversation begins with John digging into Dach’s fighting history after spending two and a half years in the WHL with the Saskatoon Blades. The answer may surprise you, but Dach goes onto explain.

After a brief chat about that, Dach talks about draft day and the moment he was selected third overall by the Blackhawks. He talks about his pre-draft interviews and how he was slightly surprised by what happened. It’s an interesting story you’re going to want to hear.

In that segment, the Blackhawks forward talked about his relationship with Bowen Byram and Dylan Cozens. His history with those two led to him wanting to attend the World Junior Championships in Edmonton. Dach continues on and explains how the Blackhawks and himself came to that decision.

The second year star also talks about his relationships with the veterans on the Blackhawks. He talks about Kane’s work ethic and how he believes Kane is the best player in the NHL. Along with that, Dach mentions Toews leadership and living with Brent Seabrook. Later on, the guys ask Dach about being part of the next generation of Blackhawks.

Stay tuned for more great interviews coming up on Dropping The Gloves with John Scott. The next episode comes out this coming Monday.
