Caps & Bruins Add a Fistful of Fights

The Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins don't top each others' rival list. That didn't stop five fights from taking place last night, including a two-fer taking place with about ten seconds left in the game.

Things started mid-way through the first period when Kevan Miller stood up for a teammate after a high hit from Caps resident middleweight Aaron Volpatti.

A few minutes later, Bruins power forward Milan Lucic had an all-out war with Joel Rechlicz. It was a toe-to-toe, give-take, affair with over 40 seconds of non-stop punches to the face.

Rechlicz wasn't satisfied with just one fight, so later in the second period he decided to jump Adam McQuaid after a big open ice step up.
