Brett Gallant vs Eric Neilson, Oct 26, 2013

We have our first AHL scrap to be featured as the Fight of the Week this season. Brett Gallant and Eric Neilson had a free-swinging, bomb-throwing war in Saturday's Bridgeport–Syracuse game. The fight started out fairly technical, with both fighters holding the other at arm's length, sneaking in left jabs while intermittently throwing right haymakers. Halfway through the fight, all defense was abandoned as Neilson switched to the left and he and Gallant went toe to toe. Both chucked and connected, both ducked and dodged, and both finished the fight on their feet. Truly an exchange worth admiring, and it's our Fight of the Week.

Also derserving mention out of the NHL is a heavyweight tilt between the Flyers' Jay Rosehill and the Islanders' Eric Boulton, also on Saturday. Both players threw with intent and earned their majors, so be sure to check it out.
