Battles Out West
New Jersey Devils captain Bryce Salvador had enough of Mike Brown trying to pick a fight with his defensive partner Marek Zidlicky. After Brown landed on Martin Brodeur and was having a push contest with Zidlicky up the ice, Salvador decided it was time to intervene.
The two combatants dropped the mitts about five minutes into the second period and engaged in a solid middleweight bout. Rights were flying from both men. Salvador found the mark far better than his adversary. After taking a few rights, Brown switched from boxing to wrestling and scored the takedown to end the bout.
