all of the FIGHTS from last night – October 18th, 2021

A week into the 2021-22 season and we have had some doozies for fights. Just on Sunday afternoon, we were treated to the top ranked fight so far when Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars and Josh Brown of the Ottawa Senators threw down. You can see that one here, but in the meantime, here is Monday October the 18th’s recap of the night of fights for your quick viewing pleasure:

*Each picture links you to the fight*

PHI/SEA

Nick Seeler (PHI) vs. Jamie Oleksiak (SEA)

The second fight in Seattle Kraken history (yes we will stop pointing that out soon) looks like it’s their first win. A scrum ensues with Nathan Bastian who went after the Flyers captain earlier in the game. Nick Seeler pairs off with the much bigger Jamie Oleksiak. Even without the five inches of reach he gives up Seeler comes out of the fight excited, while Oleksiak is resting his right fist.

Nate Thompson (PHI) vs. Nathan Bastian (SEA)

In the first double fight night in Seattle Kraken history, this is left over from the aforementioned Nathan Bastian run in with Flyers captain, Claude Giroux. Nate Thompson is the early clubhouse leader in this one as I don’t know how anyone without the last name Bastian, could think he won that one. An absolute clinic here from Thompson.

CGY/ANA

Milan Lucic (CGY) vs. Nicolas Deslauriers (ANA)

These two are legends of the Hockeyfights.com pages. Deslauriers and Lucic drop the gloves off the faceoff and a really tactical, old school fight breaks out. Swinging across each other’s reach and connecting with a few of them. The fans who have voted so far give Milan the nod.
